High degree of physical fitness
It is the Mt. Kailash in central Himalayas which is known as the Swayambhu – or the self created. It is said that Kailash & the massive lake of Mansarovar is as old as earth itself. It is the centre of universe itself. It is said that this is the abode of Lord Shiva and the mountain itself embodies the Shivling. The Hindu scriptures state that whosoever undertakes the pilgrimage to Kailash & takes a dip in the lake absolves from all worldly sins & is guaranteed a place in heaven. It is not only the Hindus who worship the deity here but also the Buddhists who say that it is the seat of Dharamapala – a fiery manifestation of Lord Buddha. Jains as well as the Sikhs too revere this holy ground.
Not only is the area very remote but the high altitude makes it exhilarating for the seeker of peace & divinity. A tough & arduous trek makes the tour difficult in tough conditions but very rewarding as you visit the cradle of Hinduism in North India, Nepal and Buddhist Tibet. A tour not to be missed by devout.
